Examinations 2010
We would like to advise you of
our new Examination Sessions for
the CIP and DIP LA. CIP exams
will be held in January, April,
July, October and December
2010. The editions of the
textbooks for all the CIP
modules from the October 2009
examinations are valid for both
the January and April 2010
examinations.
DIP LA exams will be held in
January, April and October
2010. New or repeat students
for IP05 or 821 will require an
updated textbook.
Important dates 2009
Examinations in January will be
held on 23rd January
for IP05, 821, GEN3A and GEN3B
and 30th January 2010
for GEN 1A, GEN 1B, GEN 2A and
GEN 2B.
Examinations in April will be
held between the 10th – 22nd
April 2010.
Examinations in July will be
held on 17th July
2010.
Examinations in October will be
held between the 9th – 21st
October 2010.
Examinations in December will be
held on 4th December
2010.
The Exam Entry closing date for
the January examinations is 11th
January 2010. No applications
will be accepted after this
date.
The Exam Entry closing date for
the April examinations is 8th
March 2010. The late entry
closing date is the 24th
March 2010; any applications
received between these two dates
incur a late entry fee.
The Exam Entry closing date for
the July examinations is 2nd
July 2010. No applications will
be accepted after this date.
The Exam Entry closing date for
the October examinations is 8th
September 2010. The late entry
closing date is the 22nd
September 2010; any applications
received between these two dates
incur a late entry fee.
The Exam Entry closing date for
the December examinations is 19th
Novembe 2010. No applications
will be accepted after his date.
All students registered to sit
an exam in 2010 will receive
their exam permit 5 - 10 days
before the exams. This will
outline the date, time and
location of their exam.
Students are reminded that photo
I.D. (i.e. Passport or Driving
License) must be produced in
order to enter the exam hall.
Examinations Results 2009
October 2009 Examinations
The Multiple choice
examinations’ (GEN1A, GEN1B,
GEN2A, GEN2B, GEN3A, LA1, QFA
Life and QFA Pensions)
results were released on the 13th
November 2009.
The Irish written examinations’
(PMIC, PMID, IP05, 561, 756,
766, 791 and 821) results will
be released on the 18th December
2008 by post. GEN3B results
were released on 20th
November 2010.
The UK written examination
results will be available on the
CII’s website
www.cii.co.uk
on the 18th December 2009. When
logging on you should ensure to
have your Pin number and
Candidate number to hand.
Written Examinations – following

Mark Disclosure |
A student may request a
mark disclosure in
writing within 6 weeks
of the exam results
being issued. There is
no charge for a mark
disclosure

Feedback Report |
A student may request a
feedback report for an
Irish module in writing
for a fee of €50 within
6 weeks of the exam
results being issued.

Recheck |
If a student has
received an x grade,
they may request a
recheck in writing with
a fee of €85 which is
refunded if the grade is
upgraded. |
Annual Graduation Ceremony
The Annual Graduation Ceremony
was held on Wednesday the 11th
November in O’Reilly Hall, UCD.
Any Graduate who was unable to
attend received their parchment
in the post.
Mr Sean Lynn was the recipient
of The Edward Nevin Memorial
Award. This award is sponsored
by RSA and it is awarded to the
best student in the Claims
Management subject – 821 –
“Claims Management” (with
reference to Irish Law and
Practice) or 820 “Claims
Management” in the Advanced
Diploma in Insurance exams (ACII).
Ms Fiona Carr was the recipient
of The Paddy Cowman Award. This
award is sponsored by Willis and
it is awarded to the best
student in the business subjects
530 – “Business & Economics” or
945 – “Marketing” in the
Advanced Diploma in Insurance
