Dear Member,
I feel honoured and privileged to
accept the position of President of The Insurance
Institute of Cork for its 87th year. This is
particularly so as my father held the position in
1973.
We are living in interesting and challenging times.
Over the next few years the role of the Insurance
Institute of Cork will become even more focused with
the increasing importance of CPD. The CPD Roadshows
and those Lectures which are accredited enable our
members to fulfil their minimum CPD requirements.
However at the same time I urge members to support
our social outings and indeed non-accredited
lectures. |

I am looking forward to the
continuing support of our members and the
introduction of new members and I am determined to
continue the good work of our previous Presidents
and Council Members in maintaining the standards
which have already been set. I would like to thank
our Council members for their hard work and
continuing support as without them it would not be
possible to run our events both educational and
social, particularly our Charities Lunch and Annual
Dinner. I look forward to the support of members and
their employers throughout what will no doubt be a
very challenging twelve months.
