Dear Member,
I am delighted and honoured to have been elected
President of The Insurance Institute of Sligo for the
period 2009/2010.
We are facing an uncertain economic climate in an industry where
regulation and minimum competencies are becoming
evermore critical. It is therefore important to maintain
education and training standards which is the main goal
of the Sligo Institute. We are determined to achieve
this through promotion of the CPD programme locally and
ensuring that continuous training and education is
provided to all our members. |

In addition to a series of CPD Lectures that will be
held throughout the year at the Clarion Hotel, members
will also have access to the excellent online e-learning
facility.
Numbers at examinations are continuing to increase along
with attendances at our CPD lectures which bodes
extremely well for the Sligo Institute and our industry
as a whole for the future.
The lifeblood of the Institute is its members and I’m delighted
that to advise that we have several new members on the
council this year.
I would like to thank the officers of The Insurance Institute of
Sligo for their continued support and we look forward to
working and serving you in the forthcoming year.
